This lot is made up of coffees from producers in neighboring villages in the municipality of Inzá. The area is in the Colombian Andes in the southwestern part of the country. Growing altitudes for this lot range from 1500 to 2000 meters above sea level.
Eleven producers contributed to this lot with producers hailing from Agua Blanca, Betania, San Rafael, Pedregal, and San José veredas. Individual lots were selected based on a quality criteria as well as cup profile. The result is a combined lot that well represents the area.
This is a washed processed lot. Most farmers use old style depulpers that use a hand crank or small motor. Fermenting and washing often takes place in the same tank. Drying is done on sheltered, raised beds called "parabolicos".
